About the Role: Lab Analyst

As a Lab Analyst at SAPETRO, you will be an integral member of our Research & Development (R&D) and Quality Control team. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct precise chemical analyses and tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished petrochemical products. Your analytical work will form the critical data foundation for product formulation, quality assurance, and customer support. Detailed Job Description and Key Responsibilities

You will be entrusted with a range of tasks that are central to our laboratory operations and product development cycle:

• Product Identification & Customer Need Evaluation: Perform standardized and non-routine chemical and physical tests to identify product characteristics and properties. Your analysis will help evaluate products against specific customer requirements and technical specifications.

• R&D Support for Formulation: Actively participate in the Research & Development process by preparing experimental samples, conducting tests on new formulations, and providing accurate data to the R&D team. Your findings will guide the development and optimization of new and existing petrochemical products.

• Data Interpretation & Reporting: Accurately record all test data and observations. You will be responsible for interpreting test results, drawing preliminary conclusions, and compiling clear reports. This interpreted data serves as the basis for formulation decisions and technical recommendations.

• Quality & Safety Assurance: Uphold the highest standards of laboratory integrity. You will be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to all laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality protocols, and Health, Safety, and Environment (K3 – Kesehatan, Keselamatan Kerja) regulations in every task you perform.

• Equipment Maintenance & Calibration: Operate and maintain standard laboratory instruments (e.g., viscometers, pH meters, titrators, spectrometers, gas chromatographs if applicable) following prescribed procedures. Assist in routine calibration and basic troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability.

• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain impeccable records of all analyses, batch formulations, and quality control checks in both lab notebooks and digital systems as required.
