The Opportunity: The 2025 Graduate Intake Program

Our General Graduate Intake Program is designed for talented individuals from diverse academic backgrounds. We believe that the challenge of delivering clean energy requires perspectives from all fields. Successful candidates will be placed into a two-year rotational program or a direct-hire role based on business needs, with opportunities to develop foundational skills and explore different areas of our business.

Potential placement areas include, but are not limited to:

  • Business & Commerce Graduates: Roles in finance, accounting, procurement, marketing, human resources, and business analysis.

  • Liberal Arts, Humanities & Social Science Graduates: Positions in communications, public affairs, government relations, regulatory affairs, and human resources.

  • Science & General Engineering Graduates: Opportunities in environmental protection, health physics, chemistry, safety, quality assurance, and general project coordination.

  • Technology & IT Graduates: Roles in cybersecurity, data analytics, software development, IT support, and digital transformation projects.

Essential Qualifications & Attributes:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, in any discipline, conferred by the end of 2024 or in 2025.

  • A strong academic record demonstrating analytical and critical thinking abilities.

  • Legal authorization to work in Canada.

  • A demonstrated passion for, or interest in, sustainability, clean technology, infrastructure, or public service.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • The ability to work effectively in both office and, for some roles, industrial settings.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant Experience: Previous co-op, internship, or volunteer experience, especially in a large organization, industrial setting, or project-based environment.

  • Leadership & Initiative: Demonstrated leadership in academic, extracurricular, or community activities.

  • Technical Proficiency: For non-engineering roles, proficiency with standard business software (MS Office). For tech roles, relevant programming or data skills.

  • Geographic Mobility: Willingness to work at various OPG locations across Ontario. Many roles are based in the Greater Toronto Area, Durham Region, or other station locations.
