Your Mission: Building the Backbone of Aerospace Innovation

As a Structural Assembler with Aerostaff, you will be directly responsible for the physical construction of aircraft components. You will work from engineering drawings and specifications to assemble, fit, and install parts and subassemblies, ensuring the final product meets the exacting standards required for flight.

Key Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day activities will be diverse and hands-on, requiring both technical skill and meticulous attention. Key duties include:

  • Reading and Interpreting Technical Data: You will work from complex engineering drawings, blueprints, 3D models, work orders, and specification sheets to understand the assembly sequence and requirements.

  • Precision Assembly: Performing tasks such as drilling, reaming, countersinking, and riveting structural parts and subassemblies. This includes the careful alignment and fitting of components using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

  • Component Installation: Installing a range of structural components, including brackets, fittings, and other airframe parts, according to precise engineering instructions.

  • Quality Assurance: Conducting regular checks of your own work to ensure it conforms to all quality standards, tolerances, and specifications. You will be expected to identify and report any discrepancies or defects immediately.

  • Safety and Compliance: Adhering strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.

  • Collaboration: Working effectively as part of a larger production team, communicating clearly with team leads, quality inspectors, and other assemblers to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.


Who We Are Looking For: The Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and have a proven track record in a hands-on manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is someone who finds satisfaction in creating a high-quality product and values being an essential part of a skilled team.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED).

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a structural assembly role, preferably within the aerospace, aviation, or a similar high-precision manufacturing industry (e.g., automotive, rail, shipbuilding).

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical instructions.

  • Proven experience with precision measuring tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.

  • Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, which may include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 25 kg, and working at heights or in confined spaces as required.

Our Preferred Qualifications:

While we welcome all qualified applicants, candidates with the following will be highly regarded:

  • Aerospace-specific assembly experience is a significant asset.

  • Formal training or certification in aircraft manufacturing or structures from a recognized technical college or institution.

  • Experience with drilling and fastener installation in composite and metallic structures.

  • Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) systems used on the production floor.
