About GIZ and the Internship Program
The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is a global service provider in the field of international cooperation for sustainable development. Owned by the German government, GIZ operates in over 120 countries, implementing projects that focus on economic development, environmental protection, climate action, and promoting peace and security.
We are offering two (2) six-month internship positions within our Global Partnerships and Project Support units. This is not a passive learning experience; it is an immersive, hands-on opportunity to contribute to meaningful development work. Interns will be integrated into active project teams, gaining direct exposure to the mechanisms of international cooperation, stakeholder management, and project cycle management. The internship is designed for talented graduates and young professionals seeking to launch a career in global development.
The successful candidates will receive a comprehensive monthly stipend of €2,205.04 to cover living expenses during their tenure in Germany. This structured program includes dedicated mentorship, professional development workshops, and networking opportunities within one of the world’s leading development agencies.
