The Application Process: A Step-by-Step Guide

The application process is designed to be thorough, allowing us to understand your unique profile, motivations, and potential. We advise you to start your application well before the deadline to ensure you can present your best self.

2. Prepare Your Application Materials

You will be required to provide:

• A Completed Online Application Form: This includes your personal details, educational background, and professional experience.

• A Statement of Motivation (500-700 words): This is the most critical part of your application. We want to know:

  • Why are you applying to the WYF 2026?

  • Which specific SDG or forum theme resonates most with you and why?

  • Describe a past experience where you demonstrated leadership or contributed to a sustainability-related project.

  • What do you hope to contribute to the forum, and what do you hope to gain from it?

• Your CV/Resume: Highlighting your relevant experiences, achievements, and skills.

• A Letter of Recommendation (Optional but encouraged): This can be from a professor, employer, or community leader who can attest to your qualifications and character.

3. Application Review & Selection Timeline

• Application Deadline: All materials must be submitted by November 20th, 2025, at 11:59 PM UTC.

• Review Period (November – December 2025): Our selection committee will meticulously review all applications.

• Interviews (January 2026): Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a virtual interview to further discuss their application.

• Final Decisions (February 2026): Successful delegates will be notified via email.
