The next era of aerospace is being built today. From the launch complexes that send humanity to new frontiers to the assembly lines crafting the next generation of commercial aircraft, the challenge of turning revolutionary design into reliable, high-precision reality is paramount. This is the core mission of a Manufacturing Engineer.
We are seeking a dedicated and proficient Manufacturing Engineer with a specialized focus in aerospace to join our team. This role is critical for bridging the gap between advanced design concepts and their physical manifestation. You will be the technical linchpin, ensuring that the most ambitious aerospace projects are not only designed for the skies but are also built for success on the factory floor.
We have openings at two of the most dynamic locations in the aerospace industry: Merritt Island, FL and Everett, WA. If you are driven by complex problems, excel in a detailed-oriented environment, and want to see your work directly contribute to the future of flight and space exploration, we invite you to apply.
Your Role: Translating Blueprints into Reality
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be entrusted with a portfolio of responsibilities that require a deep understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, digital design tools, and a rigorous, analytical approach. Your work will ensure that every component and assembly meets the extreme standards of quality, safety, and performance demanded by the aerospace sector.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Design for Manufacturing (DFM): You will conduct detailed producibility analysis, reviewing engineering designs to identify potential manufacturing challenges and proposing feasible, cost-effective solutions. Your input in design reviews will be critical to the success of the product lifecycle.
-
Digital Engineering Leadership: Utilize advanced CAD and PLM software, specifically CATIA and Enovia, to create, analyze, and manage manufacturing plans, tooling designs, and assembly instructions in a fully integrated digital environment.
-
Process Development & Optimization: Develop, document, and implement new manufacturing processes and assembly sequences. You will be tasked with continuously improving existing methodologies to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase overall product quality.
-
Technical Documentation: Create clear, precise, and comprehensive manufacturing work instructions, assembly plans, and illustrations that will be used on the shop floor to guide production teams.
-
Root Cause Analysis & Problem-Solving: Act as a technical expert to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues, non-conformances, and technical discrepancies. You will lead root cause and corrective action (RCCA) initiatives to prevent recurrence.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work as a vital link between design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production operations teams to ensure a seamless flow of information and a cohesive approach to manufacturing excellence.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a professional with a solid foundation in aerospace manufacturing principles and a proven track record of practical application. The ideal candidate is a systematic thinker, a collaborative problem-solver, and someone who is meticulous in their approach to engineering challenges.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you must possess demonstrable expertise in the following areas:
-
A non-negotiable minimum of 3+ years of direct experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering.
-
High Proficiency in CATIA and Enovia: Demonstrated, hands-on experience using these specific platforms for design, modeling, and product lifecycle management is essential.
-
Expertise in Producibility Analysis: A proven ability to analyze engineering designs for manufacturability, identifying risks related to assembly, tolerances, materials, and processes.
-
Active Participation in Design Reviews: Experience in formally presenting manufacturing perspectives during engineering design reviews, providing actionable feedback to influence design decisions.
Our Preferred Qualifications:
While we welcome candidates who meet the core requirements, we place a high value on deeper experience and specialized knowledge. Our preference will be given to candidates who possess:
-
5+ years of aerospace experience, demonstrating a broader and more seasoned understanding of industry challenges.
-
An exceptional 9+ years of highly preferred experience, indicating expert-level knowledge and the ability to lead complex technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
What Will Make You Stand Out?
Beyond the technical checklist, we highly value candidates who also bring the following attributes:
-
A Meticulous Attention to Detail: In aerospace, there is no room for error. You possess an innate drive for precision and accuracy in every task you undertake.
-
A Proactive Mindset: You don’t just wait for problems to arise; you anticipate them. You are constantly looking for ways to improve processes and prevent issues before they impact production.
-
Practical Creativity: You can develop innovative, yet practical, solutions to complex manufacturing constraints, balancing ideal design with production reality.
-
Resilience Under Pressure: You thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment where deadlines are critical and the stakes are high.
-
Superb Communication Skills: You can translate complex technical information into clear, actionable instructions and insights for a diverse audience, from shop floor technicians to senior design engineers.
Why Join Our Team?
This role offers more than just a job; it offers a career at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing. You will be working on projects that push the boundaries of technology and human achievement.
We offer a competitive package and a professional environment designed for growth:
-
Impactful Work: Your contributions will directly support landmark programs in both commercial aviation and space exploration, with tangible outcomes you can be proud of.
