Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Process Engineering, Automation, or a closely related field.

  • Foundational knowledge and a keen interest in heavy industrial processes, equipment, and project execution.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Professional proficiency in English is mandatory for global collaboration. Proficiency in the language of the position’s country (Italian, German, etc.) is a significant asset for local client interaction and teamwork.

  • Eligibility to work in the country of application (Canada, Italy, Germany, USA, Austria). For select critical roles, Tenova will support visa and relocation processes.

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

  • Industry Experience: Prior experience (including internships/co-ops) in the metals, mining, capital equipment, or heavy engineering sectors.

  • Technical Software Proficiency: Experience with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, SAP, or PLC/SCADA programming environments.

  • Project Exposure: Understanding of project management methodologies, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) processes, and commissioning activities.

  • Adaptability & Mobility: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for site visits, client meetings, and commissioning assignments, depending on the role.
