Inventory Handling and Movement:

Safely and efficiently load, unload, and transfer goods using appropriate manual handling techniques and powered equipment.

Operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as pallet jacks (manual and electric), forklifts (counterbalance, reach), and order pickers upon certification.

Move inventory between receiving, storage, packing, and shipping areas to fulfill workflow demands.

Order Fulfillment and Accuracy:

Perform picking and packing operations based on digital pick lists or voice-directed systems, ensuring exact item and quantity selection.

Prepare orders for shipment by scanning, labeling, and securing products in appropriate packaging.

Conduct visual quality checks on items for damage or discrepancies during all handling stages.

Inventory Control and Organization:

Receive incoming shipments by verifying counts against packing slips and purchase orders, reporting any variances.

Put away stock to designated locations within the warehouse, optimizing space utilization.

Participate in regular cycle counts and stocktakes to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Adhere strictly to all health and safety (OHS/WHS) regulations, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like safety shoes and high-visibility vests.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area, following 5S principles (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).

Follow standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for all tasks to ensure consistency, safety, and quality.

Essential Qualifications & Attributes:

A reasonable level of physical fitness, with the ability to lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights (e.g., up to 25 kg / 55 lbs regularly) and stand/walk for extended shifts.
