This is a long-term contract role designed for a developer with 2-5 years of experience who is ready to take ownership of complex Salesforce implementations. Based in Rockford, Illinois, with a hybrid work model, this position offers the perfect blend of collaborative in-person work and remote flexibility. If you are passionate about building scalable, efficient solutions on the Salesforce platform and are looking for a role that offers stability and growth, including HIB Visa Transfer sponsorship for qualified candidates, this opportunity is for you.

Deconstructing the Role: Purpose and Impact

The core purpose of the Salesforce Developer at NEMO IT Solutions is to design, develop, and implement customized solutions within the Salesforce environment that address our clients’ most pressing business challenges. You will be the technical engine behind transforming business requirements into functional and dynamic Salesforce applications.

Your work will have a direct and measurable impact on our clients’ operations and our company’s success. The key outcomes of this role are:

  • Enhanced Business Processes: Your code will automate manual tasks, streamline sales pipelines, improve customer service response times, and provide actionable data insights, directly boosting client efficiency and profitability.

  • Robust and Scalable Architecture: You will build secure, well-documented, and scalable solutions that can grow and evolve with our clients’ businesses, ensuring long-term value from their technology investment.

  • Seamless System Integration: By connecting Salesforce with other critical business applications, you will create a unified technology ecosystem that breaks down data silos and provides a 360-degree view of customer interactions.

  • Client Success and Satisfaction: Your technical expertise will be instrumental in achieving project goals, leading to successful deployments and building strong, lasting client relationships for NEMO IT Solutions.

A Day in the Life: Your Key Responsibilities

Your day will be dynamic, involving a mix of independent coding, collaborative design sessions, and client-focused problem-solving. Operating within an Agile delivery framework, you will be part of a structured yet flexible process that values iteration and continuous improvement.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-End Solution Development: Designing, coding, testing, and deploying high-quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform using Salesforce Apex, LWC (Lightning Web Components), and Visualforce.

  • API Integration: Developing and maintaining robust integrations between Salesforce and other third-party enterprise systems using REST and SOAP APIs to ensure seamless data flow.

  • Data Management: Leading data migration efforts using tools like Data Loader or similar, ensuring the accurate and secure transfer of data into Salesforce from legacy systems.

  • Sales and Service Cloud Configuration: Leveraging your experience with Sales & Service Cloud to customize and enhance core CRM functionalities, including automation tools like Process Builder, Flows, and Workflow Rules.

  • Deployment and Version Control: Utilizing deployment tools such as Salesforce DX, VS Code, and Git within a CI/CD pipeline to manage and promote code changes from sandbox environments to production.

  • Collaboration and Communication: Working closely with project managers, business analysts, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical specifications and provide realistic effort estimates.

The Ideal Candidate: Do You Have the Right Profile?

We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who is not only technically proficient but also possesses strong analytical and communication skills. The ideal candidate is a team player who is eager to learn and grow with our company.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven, demonstrable expertise in Salesforce Apex, LWC, and Visualforce.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

The “NEMO” Character – Key Competencies for Success:

  • Problem-Solving Prowess: You enjoy dissecting complex business problems and architecting elegant, efficient technical solutions. You see challenges as opportunities to innovate.

  • Meticulous Attention to Detail: You write clean, well-documented code and thoroughly test your own work to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, bug-free product.

  • Client-Centric Mindset: You constantly ask, “How does this provide value to the end-user?” You are committed to understanding the client’s business to build solutions that truly meet their needs.

  • Effective Communication: You can explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely, fostering understanding and alignment across the project team.
