Position Overview: Responsibilities and Daily Impact

As a Data Engineer at Premier IT Solutions, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development and maintenance of our clients’ data pipelines and warehousing solutions. You will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for analysis.

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, constructing, and installing robust, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest data from diverse and disparate sources.

  • Developing and maintaining large-scale data warehousing solutions using platforms like Snowflake or Amazon Redshift, optimizing for performance and cost.

  • Building and managing data infrastructure on major cloud platforms such as AWS (Amazon Web Services) or GCP (Google Cloud Platform).

  • Writing complex, optimized SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.

  • Implementing and advocating for best practices in CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) and version control (Git) to ensure efficient and collaborative development workflows.

  • Creating data models and schemas that support both operational and analytical reporting needs.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.

  • Data Warehousing Knowledge: You have practical experience designing and working with modern data warehousing solutions like Snowflake or Redshift, understanding concepts like clustering, partitioning, and workload management.
