Key Openings and Role Specifications

We have openings across a wide spectrum of functions. The following list highlights several key areas we are actively recruiting for.

1. Senior Software Engineer (Embedded Systems)

  • Role Overview: Design, develop, and test embedded software for next-generation medical devices, including implantable neurostimulators, insulin pumps, and cardiac monitors.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Architect, code, and debug software in C/C++ for real-time operating systems.

    • Develop and execute unit, integration, and verification tests in accordance with medical device standards (e.g., IEC 62304).

    • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams to define software requirements.

    • Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation.

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

    • 5+ years of professional experience in embedded software development.

    • Proficiency in C/C++ and scripting languages like Python.

    • Experience with communication protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, BLE).

2. Principal Mechanical Engineer (R&D)

  • Role Overview: Lead the mechanical design and development of implantable or external medical devices, from concept through manufacturing transfer.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Create detailed 3D models and drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CREO).

    • Perform structural, thermal, and tolerance analysis using FEA and other simulation tools.

    • Select and characterize biocompatible materials for long-term implantability.

    • Prototype, test, and iterate designs based on experimental data.

    • Guide junior engineers and collaborate with manufacturing teams on design for manufacturability (DFM).

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering.

    • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in medical devices or a similarly regulated industry.

    • Expertise in CAD, GD&T, and FEA.

    • Strong knowledge of materials science and manufacturing processes.

3. Clinical Specialist (Field-Based)

  • Role Overview: Serve as the technical and clinical expert for Medtronic products in a hospital and clinical setting, providing support during procedures and educating healthcare professionals.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide real-time support and troubleshooting in the operating room or cath lab.

    • Educate physicians, nurses, and hospital staff on the safe and effective use of Medtronic technologies.

    • Collaborate with the sales team to demonstrate product value and clinical outcomes.

    • Gather and relay customer feedback to internal R&D and marketing teams.

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a life science, engineering, or nursing field.

    • Willingness to travel extensively within a designated region.

    • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure clinical environments.

4. Digital Health Data Scientist

  • Role Overview: Leverage large-scale data from connected medical devices to generate insights that improve patient outcomes and develop new digital therapy solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop machine learning models for predictive analytics and remote patient monitoring.

    • Analyze real-world data to support clinical research and new product development.

    • Work with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) to build and deploy data pipelines.

    • Communicate complex data insights to cross-functional, non-technical teams.

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
